About Leslie Lau

Leslie Lau is a Jazzy Groovy Drummer/Composer/Producer based in Vancouver. Refined, sophisticated, and expressive sound is what you can expect from him. He drew inspiration from artists such as Chris Dave, Robert Glasper, John Coltrane, Norah Jones, etc.

After he completed the Contemporary Music & Technology programme (Major in Music Production) at Selkirk College in Nelson BC, Leslie has been pursuing his professional music career and performing in various restaurants and music lounges. He is honored to have learned from some of the most influential music figures in Canada, such as Steven Parish - the mentee of the legendary Les Paul, the Juno-winners Mike Rud and David Restivo. He has also attended masterclasses with the Grammy winners - Larnell Lewis and Greg Wells.

 

In Oct 2020, Leslie became the Drum Instructor in the Vancouver area, displaying moments of musical enlightenment to his students.
